_Sub-20: EUA conquistam CONCACAF com vitória suada sobre o Canadá

The United States scored twice in the final 11 minutes to post a 2-1 victory over Canada in the final of the CONCACAF women's under-20 championship in Ciudad de Panama, Panama.

Jenna Richardson had given Canada a 1-0 lead just five minutes into the match after picking off a pass and beating U.S. goalkeeper Bryane Heaberlin.

Canada withstood the pressure until the 79th minute when Maya Hayes fired home the equalizer for her team-leading fifth goal. Second-half substitute Kealia Ohai fired a cross to Hayes and she right-footed a low shot past Canadian goalkeeper Sabrina D'Angelo.

Chioma Ubogagu then secured the gold medal in the 90th minute after Ohai's cross at the top of the goalbox was blocked by Canadian defender Kylie Davis, causing the ball to fall in front of Ubogagu.

Sunday's final was the fourth time Canada and the U.S. have played for gold at the biennial event since 2004, with each country winning twice.

Both countries had already qualified for the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in Japan. Mexico earned the other berth at the event, being held Aug. 19 to Sept. 8.
