newly-crowned FA WSL champions Arsenal to a hard-fought victory over
Doncaster Rovers Belles at Meadow Park.
Lyndsey Cunningham and Tanya Oxtoby both put the
ball into their own net in the first half, while Aine O’Gorman pulled
one back for the Yorkshire side with a stunning long-range effort.
However Smith, who had come on as substitute in the second half, capped the victory late on with a typically composed finish, while Belles skipper Leandra Little doubled her side’s tally for the afternoon two minutes from time.
